Where would you go if you wanted to know your future? 

The answer is probably to a fortune-teller,

But is it really possible for a fortune-teller to accurately predict your future?

Probably not .

But in recent years more and more professionals have begun to look into the future. 

They've decided that being able to know what will happen years 

from now is a lot more important then we thought it was.

 

 

Someone whose job it is to tell the future is a futurist

Unlike fortune-tellers, futurists do not predict that a certain event will take place at a particular time.

instead they look at what is happening now to see where this may lead in the future, 

for instance between  five and fifty years from now .
